Can I talk to someone at Squarespace? ›

Poor Customer Service

If you're experiencing problems with your website, you need to get rid of every feature and functionality you've added before they'll help you troubleshoot. Additionally, we've read a lot of negative Squarespace reviews online regarding their poor customer service.

Usually, to get the website taken down you need to provide the website host with sufficient evidence that the website is fraudulent. In such cases, evidence can include screenshots, the URLs of the offending content, specific descriptions of the malicious or fraudulent activity, and much more.

Users have the autonomy to manage their content, and if they choose to leave the platform, they can take their domain and export their content, albeit losing some platform-specific features such as custom CSS and scripts. However, while users own their content, they do not own the Squarespace platform itself.

Squarespace analytics ignores all activity when you're logged in and viewing your site. If you're logged out, analytics counts your activity like you're an outside visitor. Analytics is designed to show you how visitors interact with your site, so you may not want your own activity to skew the data.
